Some days I just want to get ready quickly and still feel slightly more “put together”. My 5-minute face gives me a quick and easy confidence boost. It’s perfect for days with zoom calls or if I’ll be out running errands. I have 2-3 different 5-minute face routines that vary depending on the day / activities / time of year. I’ll share my go-to’s and routine below!

*Any of my makeup routines come AFTER my daily skincare routine, which can be found here
Step 1: Prime
Even when I’m doing a 5-minute face I still typically throw on a primer – it’s an easy way to even out complexion and give your skin a little glow. Below are a few of my favorites 🙂
Step 2: Conceal
This one’s a must for me. I usually focus on concealing under my eyes, my nose and then any other spots I see that need some blurring. I gently tap my concealer into my skin with a beauty blender, I find that works best and uses the product most efficiently.
I am a HUGE fan of the Clinique line-smoothing concealer, I’ve been using it for years. But I have recently started using the Nars concealer too and I love it. So I tend to alternate between them depending on my mood.

Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer
I use shade Moderately Fair, Medium if I’m tanned.

I use shade Madeleine
Step 3: Easy Coverage Foundation
On most of my 5-minute face days I use the Bare Minerals pressed powder foundation. It’s definitely the easiest and fastest to apply, but on days I feel I need a little more coverage or if I’m going to be out in the sun then I’ll usually opt for the Dr. Dennis Gross tinted sunscreen or the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue.

Bare Minerals BAREPRO Longwear Powder Foundation
I use the shade Aspen

Dr. Dennis Gross Instant Radiance Sun Defense Sunscreen
*You don’t need to use an illuminating primer with this, this tinted sunscreen gives your skin a beautiful glow and light pigment that’s perfect for days by the pool. I usually start with the shade light/medium and depending on how tanned my skin gets over the summer I may end up moving to the medium/deep shade.

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer
I love this tinted moisturizer it’s one of my go-to foundations. It’s light weight but still gives decent coverage and has SPF 30! I wear shade Buttercream, Ginger when I’m a little tanned.
Step 4: Powder Set
If I’m using one of the tinted moisturizers then I always set with my favorite powder – the Bare Minerals Hydrating Mineral Veil. If I’m using the pressed powder as my foundation I still go over the concealed areas on my face like under my eyes and on my nose with my loose powder too.

Bare Minerals Hydrating Mineral Veil
This stuff is one of my must-have makeup items. I LOVE this powder and use it to set any makeup I wear, it’s perfect for dry skin which is why it’s my favorite.
Step 5: Easy Brows
When I’m doing a full face of makeup I typically fill in my brows with a brow powder and then add a clear brow gel to set, but when I’m in a hurry and just want a little definition I grab a tinted brow gel and that does the trick! Swipe on two layers if you need some extra oompf.

Benefit Gimme Brow + Tinted Volumizing Eyebrow Gel
I use shade 3
Step 6: Quick Lashes
I’m a mascara junkie. Normally I would layer on 3-4 different types of mascaras and really put in a ton of effort to make them just right – but when I’m in a hurry and just need the bare minimum I opt for a classic staple and swipe on about 2 coats to get me out the door and feeling good.
*If I’m going to be at the beach or the pool I usually opt for a clear mascara just to get my lashes curled and give them a little definition. I’m really not a fan of waterproof mascaras so I usually either go without or do the clear.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Full Fan Effect Mascara
I LOVE mascara. I have so many mascaras in my makeup drawer it’s slightly embarrassing but I love trying new mascaras and hording my favorites. This one is hands down my favorite mascara EVER. It’s also the least expensive of all my go-to mascaras. Do yourself a favor and give this a try. It is the BESTTTT.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Clear
Another classic mascara that can do no wrong. I usually use the Blackest Black shade as a final top coat on my lashes when I’m doing a full face of makeup. BUT if I plan to be near the water I usually just opt for this classic in Clear to give my lashes a little definition. Then I don’t have to worry about smudges…or scrubbing off a waterproof mascara later.
Step 7: Tight Lining
This step is totally optional, but I think it really makes my eyes pop and gives me a more finished look. I tight-line my top lids with a simple black eyeliner. Quick, easy and makes a big impact.

When tight-lining I always use a classic eyeliner pencil. This one from Sephora is perfect and priced just right!
Step 8: Blush, Balm and Go!
These steps are also optional – I tend to have naturally pinkish cheeks so I don’t always feel the need to throw on blush when I’m in a hurry, but to each their own!
Swipe on a subtle blush and natural balm or gloss to finish up your 5-minute face. Then you’ll be ready to get out the door, onto your zoom call or just lounge around while feeling a little more polished! 🙂

Becca Cosmetics Mineral Blush in Flowerchild
I love this soft peachy pink blush and use it year-round.

This is my go-to lip balm whenever I get ready in the morning, no matter my makeup routine. I love the shade Rosé, it gives my lips a slight tint but it’s still sheer. Perfect for a natural look!
